St. Louis’ Kiltimagh v Bish

Group Game 2

St. Louis’ Kiltimagh v Bish, Knock, December 16th

The Bish under 14 side continued their campaign facing St. Louis’ of Kiltimagh in a toughly fought match in Knock, despite the near freezing conditions.

The Bish fought hard but control was taken by the home side in the initial stages, and saw the Bish conceding their first goal midway through the first half. Not long into the second half, a second goal from the St. Louis’ Kiltimagh made a win for the Bish at that point
seem unlikely.

Some key tactical changes and a spurt of energy saw a play created by Josh Marvesley and facing the keeper alone, knocking in a lovely right footer in the corner.  The comeback was on. A free kick only a few feet inside the halfway line saw Captain Cian Morley hooking it towards goal, bouncing over the reach of the St. Louis keeper to clinch the equaliser. With the match looking to end all square, victory was still a priority for the boys in royalblue. Winger Ronan Keville bravely stepped up to a last minute penalty from afoul inside the box, and tapped it in.

An amazing show of determination from The Bish side – winning the game with 3 goals been scored in the space of 7 minutes.

Final Score:

St. Louis’ Kiltimagh 2 - 3 Bish

Scorers: Josh Marvesley, Cian Morley, Ronan Keville (pen)
