St. Joseph's Rowing Club overview......

"As the dust settles on another season, we draw breath and reflect on a series of very solid performances at the Irish Championships last weekend which gives us a lot to be happy about and alot to build on for the coming years

Well done to all our crews - Jnr 14, 15, 16 and 18 & their coaches who gave tireless all year round both on the water and off, at home and abroad on a very successful and progressive season. We have had plenty of wins and top placements in what was a difficult racing season with so many events being cancelled. We grinned and bared it, fell in love with the Erg and with running again and got on with the job at hand. We had 50 Athletes compete at the National Championships in all Junior men boat classes and disciplines and everyone came home safely having participated in an event,

Thanks again to our coaches Richie, Padraig, Pete, Jack, Dan, Keith, Gary, Brion, Gerry, Conor Breen, James, Gavin, Dean, Colin, Ben, Sean, Conor Day, Mick, Drazic, Ross, David & Andrew Mc, Josh and Cliff. To our drivers - Dieter, Tom Breen and Eddie for driving our buses, Jim Egan for towing the boats, Padraig "The Legend" Lohan for keeping us all on the water and the club in one piece, Caitriona and Eileen who organised our accommodation and transport logistics which was some job and looked after us all year! All our volunteers who cooked, cleaned, rigged boats, carried oars and for their tireless commitment and energy to running our amazing club.
