Cox & Tinney scores advance Galway Minors to All Ireland S/F

Croke Park here we come. Bish footballers Daniel Cox (14) and Eoghan Tinney (13) assisted the Galway Minors in their quest for an All Ireland Minor Title. They face a semi final versus Meath in Croke Park in two weeks time following a win in the quarter final over Clare last Sunday.

Galway will meet Meath in two weeks time in the All-Ireland Minor football semi-final after they beat beat Clare in Tullamore by seven points, the winners started slowly and failed to register a score in the opening twenty five minutes as the Banner with aid of the breeze went into a seven point lead, the winners scored three pointed frees in the last four minutes from Ryan Monaghan to trail at the break by 0-3 to 0-8, Clare fully deserved the lead as Galway struggled all over the field to come to grips with the free flowing play of the Clare men.

Galway were a different outfit after the break and out scored Clare by ten points to three over the thirty minutes, the sides were level with fifteen minutes to go at 0-9 each when Tony Gill pointed and the winners went on the to dominate final quarter .
