Congrats to Patrick Lyons who won a bronze medal playing with the Irish Senior Mens Team in the European Small Countries Championships in San Marino in late June 2018. Patrick (Paddy) captained the Bish to a three-in-a-row of Basketball National Titles and after he finished his Leaving Certificate in 2013 he played basketball on scholarship in the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for two years before returning to NUIG to study for a Batchelor of Commerce degree. He has just been awarded his B.Comm in NUI Galway and was a key member of the NUIG Basketball team who won the Inter-Varisties in 2018. Patrick was born in New York, USA but has lived almost all of his life in Moycullen. He has been an integral part of the Moycullen underage and Super League basketball teams. Paddy has played underage basketball for Ireland at U16 and U18 but this is his first major championship with the Irish Senior Mens Team.
