U16A National Bronze Medals in Subway Schools Cup 2016

The Bish U16 team had to settle for bronze medals in the U16 National Cup following a defeat by St. Malachy's Belfast. The Bish U16 defeated Calasanctius College Oranmore on December 16th to retain the Western Regional U16A Title following  wins against St. Mary's College, Presentation Athenry and Colaiste Iognaid along the way. CLICK HERE FOR GALWAY ADVERTISER REPORT 22/12/15

This is the third Regional Title in a row for this team, having won the Minor and Junior over the past few years. It is also the third all Ireland medal for this team having achieved a Silver medal in the 2014 All Ireland and a National Bronze in 2015 & 2016.

The Bish U19 team were stopped in their tracks as they were seeking to retain their All Ireland Senior 'A' Title from last year. CLICK HERE FOR GYM WALL MEMORY POSTER when they faced Ard Scoil Ris in the playoffs. 

Meanwhile the Bish Minor 'A' and 'B' Teams (first years) are pictured below playing their first game of basketball for the Bish. They played Presentation Bray in a warm up to the U16 Cup quarter-final on November 6th and are preparing to defend the Bish's Minor Regional Title. They played on Tuesday 10th November in the Regional Blitz in NUIG against St. Mary's and The Jes. The Minor and Junior competitions takes place between January and June each year. The Bish also defeated Calasanctius College in a Minor friendly game last week. They are looking forward to their competitions which begin after Christmas. 

The Bish Minor team with Coach Clarke and Conboy played in the Regional Blitz in NUIG against several local teams.
