WEST REGIONAL FINAL 2015: Bish 82  Calasanctius Oranmore 45

Captain Kyle Cunningham led the Bish team to the 2015 West Regional Title with a superb display against Calasanctius College Oranmore. Spurred on by the strength and power of the Pesaitis brothers Kenneth and Jonatanas along with superb shooting from John Hackett, Max Brennan and Rory Heffernan, the Bish powered into a commanding lead in this battle for the Senior Western Regional Cup.

The Bish Senior Basketballers in winning this title qualify for the All Ireland Finals. Irish U16 International Connor Curran returning from the European Championships last August was in top shooting form hitting a game high. Coaches Conboy and McNairney hope they will continue their good form to date and praised their efforts and thanked Mr. Doyle for all his support and encouragement.

Mr. Doyle congratulated the players and thanked them for representing the Bish so proudly over the past five years saying "You and your coaches have shown - in the true spirit of the Bish school motto - what hard work and dedication can achieve.  You have brought great spirit and honour to the school not just in the winning of many Regional and National basketball titles for us over the years, but also the way you have proudly represent the school in competition in both victory and defeat. I wish to thank you all most sincerely and wish you well going forward."

Congrats also to Kyle Cunningham, Ciaran Blaney, Connor Curran and John Hackett on being selected on the Irish U17 Panel of 24 recently. Congrats to U14 players James Lyons and James Connaire who were selected on the Irish U15 Development Panel.
