Principal's Welcome

Ciaran 2

Ciaran Doyle Retires.

This year said farewell to Mr Ciaran Doyle, as he retired after over 37 years of dedicated service to "The Bish". Ciaran began his 30 year teaching career in 1980, and was our mentor, friend and leader for the past 8 years. Ciaran oversaw many changes in education over his time as principal, but his motto remained sted fast "Love God, Work hard & take care of one another" - We would like to wish Ciaran and his famiy the very best in his retirement & thank him for his many years of guidance, friendship and leadership.

J Madden Principal
We would also like to congratulate our newly appointed principal Mr John Madden.

John also began his career in the school as a teacher and over the past number of years, worked as Deputy Principal alongside Ciaran Doyle and recently appointed Deputy Principal Seamus Cahalan.

In 2012 we celebrated our 150th Anniversary. The Bish was founded in 1862 and has grown ever since to cater for 770 students this year. We are a Catholic school and welcome students from every background, faith community and ability. The Bish has a long tradition of helping each student reach his full potential and qualify for the career of his choice.

The success of our school is due to the hard work and commitment of staff along with active cooperation with the parents of our students. May our work continue to be blessed by God.
