Welcome to the Table Tennis Page

Congratulations to the St. Joseph’s College table tennis teams who
recently participated in the Connacht Schools Championships in Foxford,
Mayo. The highlight of the tournament was the under 15 boys winning the
Connacht Table Tennis title. The team led by Captain Micheal Clarkson
defeated schools from Athenry and Foxford to reach the final against St.
Aloysius, Athlone. The Bish got off to a good start with both Micheal
Clarkson and Owen Walshe winning their singles matches. A number of close
matches followed with the ‘Bish’  emerging victorious on a score line of
5-2. Special congratulations to Owen Walshe who has been selected to play
for the Under 17 Connacht team in the Interprovincial Championships. The
Under 15 team now go on to represent Connacht in the Irish School
Championships on April 27th in Killarney, Co. Kerry.
